Terms and Conditions for Dash Camera Installation Services (Australia)
PERTH DASH CAM


1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the provision of dash camera ("dash cam") installation services by PERTH DASHCAM ("we," "our," or "us") to the customer ("you" or "your"). By booking or using our services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement.

This Agreement is subject to applicable Australian laws, including the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).


2. Services Provided
We provide professional installation services for dash cameras, which may include:

  • Front and rear dash cam installation
  • Hardwiring to vehicle power supply
  • Cable routing and concealment
  • Basic device setup and testing

We do not guarantee compatibility with all vehicle makes, models, or aftermarket devices.


3. Bookings and Appointments

  • Bookings must be made in advance via phone, website, or other approved channels.
  • You must provide accurate vehicle details when booking.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule appointments due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • If you are not present or the vehicle is unavailable at the agreed time, a call-out fee may apply.


4. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.
  • Prices may vary depending on vehicle type, installation complexity, and additional parts required.
  • Any additional work will be discussed and approved before proceeding.
  • Payment is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed.
  • We accept cash or payid payments.


5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:

  • Provide safe and timely access to your vehicle
  • Ensure the vehicle is in suitable condition for installation
  • Disclose any known electrical, mechanical, or modification issues
  • Remove valuables from the vehicle prior to service


6. Installation Limitations and Risks

  • Installation may require removal of interior panels and trims. While we take care, minor marks or wear may occur.
  • Some vehicles (especially newer or luxury models) may have complex electrical systems that limit installation options.
  • We are not responsible for any impact on your vehicle manufacturer’s warranty. You should confirm this with your dealer if concerned.


7. Warranty and Consumer Guarantees
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the ACL.

  • We guarantee that our services will be provided with due care and skill.
  • You are entitled to remedies under the ACL if services fail to meet acceptable standards.


Workmanship Warranty:
We provide a 24 month warranty on installation workmanship.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Faulty dash cam devices not supplied by us
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, accidents, or unauthorised modifications

Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits your rights under the ACL.


8. Customer-Supplied Equipment

  • We can install dash cams supplied by you; however, we do not guarantee their quality, compatibility, or performance.
  • No warranty is provided on customer-supplied products.
  • Additional labour charges may apply if installation is more complex.


9. Liability
To the extent permitted by law:

  • Our liability is limited to the cost of the installation service provided.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (e.g. loss of footage, data, or income).
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing vehicle faults or damage.


10. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
  • Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a cancellation fee.
  • Refunds are not provided once installation is completed, except where required under the ACL.


11. Mobile Services (if applicable)

  • For on-site installations, you must provide a safe and suitable working environment.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service if conditions are unsafe or unsuitable.


12. Privacy
We collect and handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988.
Your information will only be used for service delivery, communication, and legal compliance.


13. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform services due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to weather conditions, accidents, illness, or supply disruptions.


14. Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Western Australia, and you submit to the jurisdiction of its courts.


15. Amendments
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The latest version will be available upon request or published on our website.


16. Acceptance
By booking or using our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
